Heli is very specialized with northern lights hunting! She knows exactly where to take us to hunt it even during our tour it was cloudy in Levi, so low chance to see it but she explained it to us and drove us north to somewhere the sky is clear. Therefore, we could see many shapes pf northern lights in various places. Furthermore, she also took us to her vacation house near the lake to experience the Finish barbecue in the camp fire and showed us about the local Finish lifestyle which is very Unique and hard to experience that. I also love how she welcome me and guide me around, I felt like hanging out with close friends rather than the tour guide. Plus she is a very great photographer 🤩 Definitely recommend to take this tour and I will come back.

Had spent a wonderful day with Heli the owner of Soma Adventures and Local. First on a husky and deer farm afterwards she had another great surprise for us and we enjoyed with 2 locals a typical 3 course meal over an open fire in a heated cabin the food was fantastic. Afterwards, she showed us the entire surroundings of Levi and told us a lot about the culture and current life there. Overall a really beautiful and private trip that we can recommend to everyone and would do again anytime, thank you very much dear Heli for your great support, you can feel that you are doing this with heart and soul 🫶🏻

Heli is a great guide! It was a very family atmosphere. She told us a lot about Lapland and we stayed in her family's forest cabin. She prepared us homemade bread and cookies that we could enjoy by the fire. She was the best guide we had during our stay. She took great pictures and we were lucky we could see the Northern Lights

Yes! Levi is one of the best places in Finnish Lapland to see the Northern Lights, with auroras visible on around 111 nights each year. However, sightings always depend on clear skies, solar activity and a little luck, so no one can guarantee you’ll see them.

At Soma Adventures, we only run our Northern Lights tours when conditions are promising. You’ll spend the evening at a private wilderness cabin away from light pollution, enjoying homemade snacks, local stories and a campfire while waiting for the aurora. If the forecast shows full cloud cover, we’ll cancel the tour and provide a full refund.
