When conditions are promising, we welcome our guests to Heli’s family’s private wilderness cabin, located approximately 36 kilometres north of Levi, far away from the village lights.
Unlike many Northern Lights tours that stop at public viewpoints, we spend the entire evening in a peaceful private setting surrounded by forests, lakes and virtually no artificial light. The cabin has belonged to our family for generations, making it much more than another tour stop—it’s a place where we share the real Lapland with our guests.
While waiting for the sky to come alive, we’ll grill traditional Finnish sausages and marshmallows over an open fire, enjoy warm berry juice and homemade pastries, and share stories about life in Lapland with your guide, who was born and raised in this very wilderness.
You’ll learn about both the science and folklore behind the Aurora Borealis, hear what everyday life is really like above the Arctic Circle, and experience the peaceful rhythm of the Arctic wilderness.

Unlike many operators, we don’t run Northern Lights tours simply because they’re scheduled.
If the forecast shows complete cloud cover, we’ll cancel the tour and provide a full refund.
If conditions are uncertain, we’ll always tell you honestly what we believe the chances are. We never promise guaranteed Northern Lights because nobody can.
